The Ssese Islands are an archipelago in the northwestern part of Lake VictoriaUganda. The archipelago is divided in two groups: Bugala Group in the South west and Koome group in the North east. The largest island in the archipelago is called Bugala Island. QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a national park situated in the  Western Region of Uganda. It stretches along the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. KAZINGA CHANNEL

The Kazinga Channel in Uganda is a wide 32 km (20 mi) long natural channel linking Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel is occupied by a large amount of animals and birds, with one of the world’s largest concentration of hippos and an important population of Nile crocodiles. It is a famous wildlife tourism attraction center in Uganda.

RWENZORI MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK

Rwenzori Mountains National Park is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the South western region of  Uganda covering an area of 1,000 km2 (621 sq mi). The park is known for its waterfalls, lakes, glaciers and its diverse flora. The wildlife consists of species like forest elephantchimpanzeehyraxblack-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, duiker, and Rwenzori turaco and other species endemic to the Albertine Rift system.

Lake Victoria is one of the African Great Lakes. It is the largest lake by area in Africa spanning an area of 59,947 sq km (37,249 sq mi) and the second largest fresh water lake by area in the world. The lake covers 3 countries which are Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania but 94% of its area lies in Uganda and Tanzania.

BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, along the DRC border, near the Virunga National Park and on the verge of the Albertine Rift. It is only accessible by foot and is home to 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, etc. Over 1,000 flowering plant species, 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns are also available there.

NYERO ROCK PAINTINGS

The Nyero rock paintings are located in eastern Uganda in the district of Kumi, about 250 km (155.3 mi) from Kampala. The paintings date back before 1250 CE. They were made by Batwa hunter-gatherers who are of Pygmy origin, and live in Eastern Africa. The site consists of 6 shelters containing various rock paintings made with red pigment.

 RHINO FUND UGANDA (ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY)

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a private, non-profitanimal sanctuary in Uganda, located about 180 km (110 mi) of Kampala. It was established by the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rhino Fund Uganda in order to protect the rhinos population. Other mammals are inhabiting the park including monkeys, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, etc. There is also an important number of birds. Accommodations are also available were visitors can stay.

BAHA'I TEMPLE

The Baha’i Temple is a place of worship for the Baha’i religion members, located in Kampala, Uganda. It is  a nice place with a special architecture standing on a hill and surrounded by a green environment and a magnificent landscape. Baháʼism, is a religion teaching the essential worth of all religions, and the unity and equality of all people, established by Baháʼu’lláh in 1863.
